Meet JaDene…
Whisper Fiber Art started in the summer of 2020. I love fabric and decided to try something different. The question was, what could I do with material that would be highly creative and unique? After many hours of research and trial and error, fabric pieces came together—fabric bowls, wraps, and who knows what else will continue to be designed. The beauty of nature and the world of creative fabric were my inspirations. Each art piece is created with love and a whisper of hope, peace, and joy. I am into fabric collage right now, which significantly pleasures me. I had the opportunity to work with two Children’s collage experts and learned so much from them, but it was not until I was asked if I could do it with fabric that my creative juices started to run over and over.
I was born and raised in Utah. I was a teacher and school librarian for 42 years, but art has always been a big part of my life. When I was a small child, I would ask for material to wrap around my dolls and stuffed animals. I created magical costumes for them. When I learned to sew, it provided me a way to start my unique clothing. Art plays a significant role in who I am. I have made stained glass windows, oil paintings, silver and gold jewelry, pottery, and clothing. Creating art pieces with fabric brings joy and purpose to my life.
